Why Choose Kairos?
Player Benefits
World Class Facility: The Avera Human Performance Center is the home of Kairos Volleyball (opened in January 2020). AHPC has a 7 volleyball court space dedicated to volleyball. All courts have TaraFlex flooring, the best volleyball surface in the world (FIVB and Olympics are played on this surface). This building also has Avera Physical Therapy, Avera Orthopedics Walk-in, X-ray machine, under water treadmills, athletic training room, Avera Sports performance training gym, and a biomechanics lab! Our athletes are trained in one of the best training facilities in the world!
Great Staff: Our staff is trained together throughout the season to keep our coaches growing & improving. With our club's structure, every coach has the support and guidance of our full-time master coaches at every practice. This allows us to keep all coaches, teams, & players on the same page. This continuity has been a huge factor in our success training athletes! We are always finding ways to learn and grow and continually bring in some of the best college & international coaches to learn from them.
Training: ALL of our players/teams are trained the exact same way, same duration, & with same amount of attention in each program.
Small Rosters: All of our 14u-18u teams will have 9 players (sometimes 10) on the rosters. 12u-13u teams will have 8 players on the rosters. This will ensure every player has a role on the court! We are very unique in that we are a competitive club regionally/nationally, but we keep our rosters much smaller than larger clubs. Many clubs we compete against have 10, 11, 12, or even more athletes on one team. We believe smaller rosters givers our athletes more training, more touches, and more playing time. The downfall to keeping our rosters small is our club dues per athletes are higher. We believe it is well worth it!
Multi-Sport Athletes: We are committed to accommodating multi-sport athletes. We will do everything we can to work around High Sports schedules as long as the players are doing everything they can to attend practices/tournaments. However, we will not allow missing practices/tournaments for other Club sports.
In-Season Camps: We host camps during the club season with college coaches, professional players, and professional coaches running them. These camps have been great for players & our coaches to learn from other coaches & get exposure for recruiting. Examples of colleges we have had at camp in the past - Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa State, Louisville, Washington State, Auburn, Creighton, Wyoming, Wisconsin, South Dakota State, North Dakota, and others! We have also brought in Lloy Ball (4x Olympic Setter - 2008 Gold Medalist) several years, Jamie Morrison (past Netherlands national team coach), Dustin Watten (USA Men's Libero) and TJ Sanders (Canadian Olympic Setter).
Recruiting Help: We have a full-time Recruiting Coordinator - Haylee Vosler will work with our athletes to educate families on the recruiting process and help them implement recruiting strategies. This season ALL 16u-18u & 15u Open/National players will receive a one-year subscription to SportsRecruits included in their club dues. This is a great online tool to assist with the recruiting process. We are very proud of our list of Alumni that have gone on to play in college - since 2012 we have had 125 alumni go on to play in college!
Building a Tradition: Players in our club can be a part of continuing to build a tradition at Avera Sports Kairos Volleyball. Since beginning in 2012, Kairos has placed at least one team each year in the Top 18 at AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL. Since 2013, Kairos has produced 51 USAV/AAU All-Americans (six MVPs).
