NOVA JUNIORS
A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH VOLLEYBALL
Founded in the late 1970s by volleyball coaching legends Bob MacFarland and Tom Smith, NOVA Juniors has a rich history rooted in its beginnings as a men's team. Transitioning to become the first OVR team composed of junior girls, NOVA Juniors achieved national acclaim by winning the AAU National Championship in 1981. For decades, NOVA has been a trailblazer in club volleyball, developing some of Northeastern Ohio's top athletes who have gone on to win state championships, pursue college careers, and even become coaches.
Our mission is to elevate the sport of volleyball by providing exceptional instruction in the fundamentals, empowering our athletes to excel at all levels of competition. We are committed to fostering character, sportsmanship, and leadership, while cultivating an environment where teammates become family. At our core, we are dedicated to creating a diverse community where coaches are lifelong learners, continually receiving mentoring and support at every stage of their journey. Together, we strive to grow the sport we love, one player and one coach at a time.
NOVA Juniors' home court is the newly renovated Goodyear Hall, a 20,000-square-foot facility featuring 1,200 seats that surround the courts from above, offering an unparalleled viewing and playing experience. NOVA Juniors not only fields competitive travel teams but also hosts numerous OVR tournaments, summer clinics, youth volleyball leagues, and much more!
