About
Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Club is a junior girls and boys volleyball club with youth programs and competitive teams in the U10 to U18 age groups participating in the Gateway Region of USA Volleyball. Our club is centered around Eureka, Missouri which is located in Southwest St. Louis County approximately 25 miles from downtown St. Louis. We are a program of Parkway-Rockwood Community Education.
Most age groups have three teams totaling close to 300 players across the club's competitive teams. We are amongst the largest clubs in the Gateway region. Each team is chosen to compete at the highest level of competition possible.
Each year, our teams compete for qualification bids and several earn their way to the USAV Junior National Volleyball Championships (JNVC).
Some of our players have been selected to participate on the National High Performance teams that compete nationally and internationally.
Volleyball is a great sport that can be enjoyed at all ages. We strive to develop young players to compete successfully as they go into High School and Collegiate levels. Hopefully this will be a positive experience such that they can enjoy it for well beyond the educational focus. We do not promote winning at all costs but do believe in promoting that winning is a product of practice, preparation, mental toughness and extra effort. These qualities set the foundation for our players, as individuals and as groups, to succeed in life.
